Senior Finance Manager

MeaWallet is an IT company developing solutions for mobile contactless payments such as Apple Pay / Google Pay and other “Pays” for banks, issuers, based on the latest standards from international payment schemes such as VISA/Mastercard/Amex. MeaWallet is headquartered in Oslo with offices in Riga and employees in 5 countries.  

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the financial health of a company or organisation. Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

Senior Finance Manager Job Duties:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Oversee financial department including 1 internal accountant and external accounting firm
  • Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
  • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field; 
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance role; 
  • superior mathematical skills; 
  • solid communication skills, both written and verbal; 
  • superior attention to detail; 
  • Languages: Required Norwegian and English language skills

Senior Product Manager

What will you do? Roles and responsibilities

The senior product manager will take a part of the business unit for Issuing Products and will generally support the BU in its most important tasks: 

  • Work on the product strategy for the BU
  • Manage product roadmaps for existing and new products
  • Evaluate and work on potential new products, including: gathering ideas internally & externally; gathering high-level requirements; pitch & evaluate USPs; build business models; execute POCs or MVPs; ...
  • Work on go-to-market strategy, including: identifying and interacting with channel partners; working with internal and external teams on marketing and marketing strategy; work with our sales team to increase the reach of our products, …

The exact responsibilities of the candidate will depend on the candidate’s profile and how it mixes with the existing product team. A good candidate should be comfortable with diving into technical details as well as discussing strategy and commercial details with existing and potential partners and customers.

The company is going through a growth phase bringing on new challenges that need to be handled and solved while we move on. This means that day-to-day tasks will vary. For 2021 some key objectives will be: 

  • Work closely with existing customers to see how existing products best should be developed
  • Increase the number of partners/resellers to increase our distribution
  • Introduce new products that can serve both existing customers and attract new
  • Establish a customer success team to nurture our customer base

What should you bring? Candidate background

The candidate should preferably have experience with the following topics: 

  • Most preferable: MDES, VTS, EMV tokenization, Apple Pay, Google Pay
  • Preferable: Card issuing, mobile wallets/mobile payments, wearable payments, PCI-DSS
  • Alternatively: Tech startup, eCommerce, acquiring bank, 3DSecure, mPOS, …

It is considered positive if the candidate has worked with concepts, tools and frameworks like Lean Startup, Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Design, ProductBoard, Jira, ...

A good candidate could have the following working experience (current or past three years):

  • Payment networks, e.g. Mastercard, Visa, Amex, BankAxept, …
  • Issuer processor, e.g. Evry, Nets, T-SYS, GPS, FIS, …
  • FinTech/PayTechs, e.g. G+D mobile security, PayAir, Netcetera, Antelop, Dejamobile, Pri-num, …
